Social Networking for Business

The term – “The money is in the list” has become a cliche, and only a cliche, nothing more. That was never REALLY true. The money is in the relationship you have with the people on your list!

I have always taught “Relationship Building” rather than List Building. Unless you have built a good relationship with someone, it means very little to have them as a subscriber to your list. Once you have built a relationship with them, however, they get to know you and trust you. Once you have their trust, they will always be prepared to listen to you and buy from you rather than other people. They will read your emails. They will visit your website. They will act on your suggestions.

One of the best ways to build relationships, is through Social Networking. There are many Social Network Programs you can join for free. At the end of this post you will find links to a few that I am a member of.

Online Conference Rooms

Online Conference Rooms are another option to have direct contact with groups of people all at once, which you can either you rent or own. We use our own Conference Room for all our trainings.

Whats the Different Between an Online Conference Room & Skype Rooms?

With both there is the ability to communicate with either written text or by voice if you have a microphone. A skype chat room is different from an online conference room in several ways. For one thing, you can not view a webpage or give a visual presentation in a Skype room as you can in a conference room. Also in an online conference room only one person can speak at a time where as Skype voice allows people to all speak at once. Skype is free for anyone to join. A Skype Chat Room is Limited to 150 people and the number of people who can go on voice at one time is limited to 10. The conference rooms are limiteds to 100 or 500 depending on the package and they all can speak (no limit like Skype voice). . In active Skype chat rooms you will find many people available instantly prepared to help you with things you don’t know, and you, in turn, can help others again. This way we all grow our relationships within the group.
