If you have unverified leads in Aweber, you may wonder what you can do with them. You can not remove them or email them in Aweber until they verify their email address. This is the double opt-in process to make sure they really want to get your email. This is a good thing as it builds a higher quality list while protecting you from being reported as a spammer and also from getting spam. Read a study Aweber did here to understand more on the benefit of the verification / double opt-in process.
All unverified leads will disappear in 30 days from Aweber if they do not verify by then. sometimes they ave opted in yet not verified due to not getting the verification email (delivery problems out of both you and your leads control). If you want to ask them again to opt-in and verify, you can email them …. but not from Aweber .
Tip: If you want to separate the the verified leads from the unverified leads before trying again with only the unverified ones in am attempt to get them to verify, then you can do this easily by using the sort function of Excel. Export the verified leads then add them to your total list. Then sort so the verified leads can be seen twice and remove these.
If you want to send the unverified leads a 2nd chance yet do not want to send the verified leads the same message (like for example, a reminder that their bonus was not delivered, something like this ….” Your request could not be filled until you verify your email, then you will get your requested bonuses, please try again and verify your email this time and you will then have instant access.”…). What you can do it first remove the verified leads from the lead list. Its easy to do by using the sort function in an Excel type spreadsheet.
First export all the leads using the Excell image on top of your leads displayed in Aweber. Then sort so the verified leads can be seen and remove these. Now you have just the verified leads to try again. You can email them “by hand” or try importing thm again in Aweber. Aweber will send them another verification email.
Or if you want to copy and paste all the leads then remove the verified ones its best to paste them into Notepad text file first process them by separating the name & email with commas before pasting into a spreadsheet, this will allow you to have a file of leads you can import or even just keep track of how many offers and which offers you have sent them, with name in one column and email in another column. Here is a video that show how to do this. (By the way, while this video is a good example of how to make a comma separated file of data, it is easier to sort by Stop Status to separate your unverified leads as discussed here at this AweberTip post …):
