 Get a higher confirmation rate in AWeber
We all have the problem of subscribers not confirming their email after signing up for a list in AWeber (or any autoresponder for that matter) It is a frustrating situation, and I know everyone wants to change that. I am going to make a few suggestions on how to increase the confirmation rate.
I would start by making a custom Thank You Page instead of using the default one that is provided. This leaves a more personal note. You can say much more about the content they will receive for signing up. Everything you want to customize can be done from within your AWeber account.
Here are a few suggestions to put on your Thank You Page:
- Tell them what the subject line will be – you can see it or edit it at the Verified Opt-In page of your account.
- Give the name and/or the email address the confirmation email will come from – Edit this in your acount at the bottom of “List Settings”
- Tell them that they must click the confrimation Link.
- Thank them for signing up, and remind them about the benefits of confirming – in other words what they will receive if they sign up for your offer.
- It is also a good idea to offer them an incentive like an extra bonus or gift if they confirm.
Creating a personalized Thank you page is a reminder of what they signed up for instead of a run off the mill one. They may have signed up for a few things, and need to know what it is they have to confirm. If you do this, you should find an increase in the confirmations you receive.
