One of the best ways to build a list, is to build relationships first and that way you will build a targeted list that you can start offering your products and services to. If you have built a relationship with someone, then you know what their interests are, and they yours. This is the road to mutual trust and without that you have no hope of ever really having a list of subscribers who will even look at your offers.
There are many social networking programs that you can join and use to build relationships. You can also use Skype Rooms. There are some very interesting people who have started skype rooms, and even more interesting people who are members of these Skype rooms. They are easy to use, and you have direct contact with people in the room, even if you have not exchanged details with each other. It is a good idea, however to get connected on Skype with those in the Skype Room.
Always lead with relationship building before hitting someone with a sales pitch. No one likes pushy people who are only interested in getting their product or service in front of others, with a disregard for their feelings. I am sure you don’t like it, so why do it to someone else. As it is said….do unto others as you will have them do unto you.
As long as you remember this golden rule, you will have no problem building a list with social networking.
