Panic over AWeber price increase unfounded

Current users are not affected

Everyone is in a panic over AWeber’s new pricing structure, from $19.95 per month to $150.00 per month. However, there is no need for you to pull your hair out and start planning the great exodus for your lists.

The new pricing structure does not affect current users of AWeber. You have the option to upgrade to include all the great new features that go with the new pricing, or you can stay at the current membership level.

• You can send a broadcast only to the subscribers who did NOT open your previous broadcast.

• You can have your unresponsive subscribers removed if you like.

Take advantage of the tracking feature

With all this tracking ability, you can see exactly how to use your subscriber list to your own advantage. By using the feature to segment your leads, you will be able to really sort the sheep from the goats, and take advantage of the more responsive subscribers to increase your sales. New AWeber accounts will automatically include all of the Email Web Analytics tools, but they will start off with a membership of $19 until they reach 500 subscribers on their lists.

The reason for this price hike is that AWeber is improving their service to their customers, while old customers may choose whether they want or need the “upscale” version as apposed to paying their $19.95 for the “old” version.

I may just add that if you do have a list of over 10,000 subscribers, you can really put this powerful new tool they are offering to good use. You need to analyze your subscribers and possibly weed out the unresponsive ones. Nobody needs dead wood in their subscriber list and with such a large list, you cannot eliminate that without a good system. These features really save users a lot of time which in my opinion is a very expensive commodity. You can focus the time you save on other important tasks.
