Saturday – October 13 – How to test your tracking URL’s and AWeber Campaigns

Here are the steps to testing your Lead capture pages and Aweber campaigns when you use an MMG (Lead Capture Page) as a thank you page and the automation rules in Aweber…

I will give you an example.. You want to send an advert using different

Safe Lists, and you want to track the results.

Testing a tracking url .

1. Go to the pages you are rotating for the particular Advertising resource you want to send ads to. (eg. Safelist or Traffic Exchange.)
2. Then opt in and see if you were placed in both lists… sfs and the Advertising resource
3. After opting in, you will be redirected to the Tahnk You Page (MMG) page for Salelist Bonuses… opt in there… same email as instructed on the thank you page, and…you should be added to the SafeListTips Aweber list and I then…
4. Check that you were not resubcribed to the SFS Ezine list .. as the Aweber rule to subscrbe when subscribe is set for the Safelisttips list too… No duplicate subscriptions are allowed by AWeber from the same email address. Thats good.
5. And the redirect in the Safelist Thank you MMG page should send you to the Program’s affilate url you are advertising(hard to verify from the browser, but very carefully check the redirect url in that MMG thank you page). Make sure this is yours.
6. Now you can both track your results and automate your target marketing much more efficiently. Each Safelist, Traffic Exchnage and advertising source has its own tracking url.
7. You can see that your lead came from a safelist and is also interested in the Program you advertised. The Aweber targeted lists (shared with Elite members) can then automate follow up to their interests. It can support them by sending them to Safelist Support Trainings in the Focus Group and the Safelist Tips Blog post.

You should perform the same test for all your advertising. Make sure you have your targeted lists in Aweber, like a SafeListBonus list and what ever you’re promoting and have your main ezine (SFSezine) and also your automation rule is set.
