Start your Internet Business by building a relationship

One question many people ask is ….. “Where do I start with an Internet Business…..”

The answer will depend on your goal.

Here are two commonly used methods for Affiliate Marketers – two different goals for you to choose from:

1. Advertise to Build downlines (lead with the sales) = 95-98% Failure (3-5% success takes hard work & many years)

What I suggest is FOCUSING your efforts on building a list, once you know what it is that you want to promote. Whatever your intentions, you always need a contact list.

But just building your list also is not enough…..

A good place to start is joining different Social Networking sites like Skype Chat Rooms, Twitter, MySpace, FaceBook, LinkedIn. When you are actively networking, you are building a rapport with other members and leading with the relationship instead of the sales. You get to know what these people are interested in, and what their needs are. If you are selling dog biscuits, and you find someone who is allergic to dog hairs, you will know not to even try and promote your product to him. On the other hand, if you discover a dog breeder, you can promote your dog biscuits to him without any qualms.

This is called target marketing. Always use target marketing to save time and money. That is why I encourage people to network a lot, to find people who need your product.
