This is a continuation of the Message Magic training from the Message Magic Advanced Users Guide page 10 & 11 and the spreadsheet on excel…… tracking is just as important a factor. By adding a third column (used/used date or even tracking code) to the already added columns for the users/contacts and patterns, you track your results. Julie reminded everyone that the training as per the Message Magic Advanced Users Guide is almost completed and because there are many new members joining daily, all of the training covered so far has been recorded and the audio’s and some video’s are on her blog. It can be found in the archives section, but soon we will have these all on a post on it’s own with links to the training in chronological order.
On Melody’s newly created Message Magic Support Network site there is also a lot of help available to help Newbies to get started.
Question: When you upload your search contacts into Skype for the first time, do you send them a message first and then upload them or upload them and then wait for them to accept you before you send them a message?
Answer: No you send them a message first telling them how you found them and who you are. NEVER send an advert as the introductory message.
This question led to a very interesting story from Melody which is a good example of how it can work out very well when you use your own interests to find new contacts…
She mentioned how she just started using Twitter and mentioned how she loves horses, and in a very short time, many people started to connect with her. These were people with the same interests as her and it proves that one has to connect with people first and share thoughts about common interests. Get people to know you better, give value and build trust. Build relationships and become friends. Never punt your contacts with a business opportunity immediately. Get your contacts on your side first and they will eventually ask you what you are doing….. what will follow thereafter is just amazing.
Have a nice warm profile…. that is what people will be looking at and that is what will make them wanting to make contact with you. Be yourself and be approachable. Don’t try and push a sale! Sales will come by itself.
TIP from Julie: brand yourself in all the various social media programs that you are using. Have a super duper profile with a photo of yourself and a link for people to go and look at and get to know that are a real person. Really stand out and people won’t shut you out or close you down. Just remember, the “money” is not in the list, the “money” is in the relationship. Let people come after you.
