Sunday March 30 – Viral at it’s best!!
Today has really been very exciting. I love it when a plans comes together, and today is a perfect example of that.
First of all I must fill you in with a little background, in case you don’t know what we are doing at the moment.
Julie has a special offer on renting a Hot Conference room out at the moment, and we were invited to add a post about it in the forum at Diane Corriette’s Women’s Internet Marketing Website.
We also have a Skype Tips Chat room especially to teach people how to use Skype for business – and pleasure, of course – but really concentrating on the advantages of using Skype Rooms to build relationships. To train and support people in business, to use Skype to communicate with clients, prospects, contacts for their business of all types.
Now I am sure that you are wondering what the Skype room and the Hot Conference room have in common – well, they are both used for bringing people together. They can really supplement and complement each other.
But….to get back to the exciting part. Julie has been coaching people the correct way to build a list for the past 5 years and she has always taught people that viral marketing is the way to go.
Here is a great example:
- I posted Julie’s Hot Conference Room special rates on the forum at WIM.
- Charly Leetham, who is a member of WIM, saw the post, and because she is looking for a way to show her program to her subscribers, she went to the post with more information about the Hot Conference Room and the special rates to rent a room for a day, a week, a month or whichever way it is needed.
- In the same post Charly found the link to the Skype Tips Room, and in her own words…
“So – I joined your room because I love chatting online and am looking at what Skype can do for me.” “I’m looking to provide a “support” group for a number of people with the same product. More of a user group than a support group. What would you consider the differences, benefits and shortfalls of a Skype Room like this?” Julie’s answer to that is:
“Of course! Skype can be used for building a relationship with your lists, your contacts, even for building a business contact list – I encourage Skype Rooms like this for exactly that.”
Charly also asked if it would be good to schedule regular conferences, but use Skype to let the group interact in between conferences. She mentioned that she likes this format because its a little more informal and whoever is on can interact.
That certainly is the advantage of a Skype Rooms. People from all over the world can interact at any time that they are online, and all other members of the room can read the text whenever they are online. You must bear in mind, though, that forums, blogs, Social network sites… are all better than Skype for getting found by Search Engine bots and spiders… online content…if they are public, so it is good to combine them all. The Skype Tips Room has also been found by people who did a Google Search for Skype rooms, but that does not happen as often as one would like. Hopefully in the near future this will change, as Skype Rooms become more popular.
Now you can see how one thing leads to another, and another, and….. I’m sure you get my meaning.
This is why I am excited. It all started with one post in a Forum, and ended up with a whole string of happenings – all good – and has brought a very serious online business woman… and a great asset to the community here….to our Skype Tips room. Each and every new member is precious to us, and contributes to the success of any online community, so we welcome them with open arms.
We discuss many things in the Skype Tips Room – things like Skype and SFS. We also talk about Blogging, Marketing and more.

It really is that easy! I also have to encourage people to join Julies group, I have already picked up so much information and, have found others who offered their help with my projects, so quickly. It really is amazing. Thank you Julie and Hyla.
Thanks Hyla for that Story and post and Thanks Charly for the comment. (Did you find it with Google Alerts on your name? …by chance?)
We must share this with the members of my Skype room … dont you think?
Warmly,
Julie
