This is a presentation that no-one should miss, as they are introducing a new product replacing CamStudio. For those of you who didn’t get the CamStudio Download, it is still on the site for the rest of today. Q: Is there an easy way to connect with someone in LinkedIn, when you have the LinkedIn URL but not the email address? I don’t have the LinkedIn toolbar.
A: You don’t need the LinkedIn toolbar, if you have the person’s email address and full name, go to the Quick Invite on the home page (right side) and then type your message and send it.

Q: I don’t have all their emails. I have their LinkedIn URLs, so how can I contact them.
A: You should be able to scroll all the way down their homepage – their email should be listed at the bottom, if they have made it public.

Q: Should my LinkedIn link have my name at the end because it doesn’t- the only thing I can get it this Public Profile

Q: How do you recognize and block “spammers” or “numbers catchers”? I was warned to be careful of the people in Social Networks who just send out spam type ” connect with me’s” to everyone because your real people network will not appreciate these people… and reflect bad on you.
A: You can’t really block them, however you can CHECK THEM OUT AND decline. When they send you an invite make sure you always research the person inviting you to connect. If they have many many connections and you’ve never heard of them, be careful. You have the option to decline and not allow them to send new invites to you. There are some recruiters that want just to use you, to get to your connections. For them, you are a means to an end. Decline.

Q: How do I Search for a Keyword In a Skype Room Window
A: Go to the top of the main Skype window > Show messages From Last 30 Days” > Press Ctrl+F to search for your keyword.

Q: Can you tell me what it means when you get google alerts on your name? Does it mean someone posted something about you, or did they search for you?
A: When you get a Google Alert on your name, it means that your name appeared on a site somewhere on the web. It could be in some blog post, on a forum post or in a press release for example. The alert gives you info about where you appeared – just an excerpt of the article, post, or whatever with a link to read the entire post. You won’t get an Alert if someone just searched for you. If you are posting on blogs you will be amazed how many times it comes up!

Q: About Google Alerts I did my name and got an alert but none of them were for me there was some for just my first name and some for just my last name so do you know how to make it so that it is my full name?
A: If you add your name in Google Alerts in quotes ” and also in [brackets] that will find only your full name.

Q: How do you get these Google Alerts?
A: It is really simple. You sign up for a free Google gmail account, then go to google alerts and put in the terms you want to be alerted about. Thats it.
Just go to the Google HomePage and look there for “Alerts” – set it with whatever keyword you want to keep tabs on – whatever you want to watch – and don’t forget to put one on for your own name – in quotes. It’s easy and free and great market research on your niche. You will get the alerts by email once a day or as it happens or once a week. Once a day workd best for me.

Q: Can you tell me how to make a blogger blog private? My son wants a Blog But I dont want freeks in there.
A: In the blogger blog go to Settings / Permisions is the far right sub tab. The under ” Who can view this blog?” there are 3 Options … choose one of the last two:
“Only People I Choose”
or
“Only Blog Authors”
